Noah’s Landing Field Trip

We went on a field trip to a farm/zoo on Friday.  I loved the place (the kids enjoyed it too:)  We got to interact with the animals on an intimate level and also learned interesting facts about each animal.

The kids enjoyed feeding carrots to the donkeys, llama and Zebra.DSC_0125 DSC_0126 DSC_0128

I think this donkey is where they got the concept for Donkey on Shrek.  He was so funny to me!DSC_0139 DSC_0154 DSC_0159 DSC_0160

This was Cockatoo that could sing Old McDonald.

Ari’s favorite animal:  AlligatorDSC_0199

This little guy was amazing.  His tail looks like his head and he walks backwards with his tail up to confuse predators.  If they grab his tail then it disconnects and he can grow a new one within one month.  DSC_0200 DSC_0201

Ryan and the Wilbur:  the pig.  Ryan kissed the pig but I missed the picture.

We had a great time at Noah’s Landing.  We are hoping to volunteer there in the near future!  They have a Jr. Zookeepers program.
