State Fair
We took our annual trip to the State Fair on Tuesday. We go every year to celebrate Chris and my first date which was to the fair in 1995.
The theme this year is “Whole Lotta Happy”. I thought Ryan’s face really did this justice…he had a rough day in general but in this picture he was upset because he wanted ice cream. Despite his the sad face, we all really had a good time.
There favorite thing was the rides. They wanted to ride everything.
They even rode this fast ride that went forward and backward. Arianna rode the alien space ship that you go inside and it spins around so fast that you are raised off the floor.

Adorable Dogs and Husband Too
Girl Scout Field Trip
Ari had her first field trip with the her Daisy Troop Yesterday. They went to Smith’s Nursery.
Above they are saying the Girl Scout Pledge.
They learned about old farm equipment.
They then took a hayride and enjoyed singing songs together.
This goat is named Uni.
We went through a maze and got lost. We were the last group through.
We finally found our way out! :)
Ari picked out a strawberry shaped pumpkin.
We learned about Indian artifacts that they have found on the farm.
Of course Ari found an animal to pet.
This picture is from before one of Ari’s troop meetings. We are looking forward to her Investiture next Monday. She will say the pledge, sing some songs, and get her first pin as well as part of her Daisy.
Noah’s Landing Field Trip
We went on a field trip to a farm/zoo on Friday. I loved the place (the kids enjoyed it too:) We got to interact with the animals on an intimate level and also learned interesting facts about each animal.
The kids enjoyed feeding carrots to the donkeys, llama and Zebra.
I think this donkey is where they got the concept for Donkey on Shrek. He was so funny to me!
This was Cockatoo that could sing Old McDonald.
I can’t remember the name of this little guy but he was adorable.
Kessler and ? checking each other out.
Cross eyed Opossum.
Hedge Hog
Ari’s favorite animal: Alligator
This little guy was amazing. His tail looks like his head and he walks backwards with his tail up to confuse predators. If they grab his tail then it disconnects and he can grow a new one within one month.
Cute baby monkey
Blue Tongued Skink
Bearded Dragon
Majorly overweight skunk
I can’t remember his name either. He was cute and cuddly.
Ball Python
Ryan and the Wilbur: the pig. Ryan kissed the pig but I missed the picture.
We had a great time at Noah’s Landing. We are hoping to volunteer there in the near future! They have a Jr. Zookeepers program.
