Scope and Sequence
I have been evaluating lately my mission for homeschooling. I am one of those crazy homeschoolers who have taken the leap of faith and don't follow any particular scope and sequence. It is a scary step but so refreshing and in my opinion much better for my kids. Really I can't say it much better than this blogger. She really put into words what I haven't quite been able to get out. Please hop over and see what she has to say regarding why she chose to not use scope and sequence.
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers
Live in a way that the preacher doesn't have to lie at your funeral.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor souls who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." --Theodore Roosevelt
Who am I? That is a difficult question to answer! I am a wife to a loving man! I am a Mom of 2 wonderful children of which I homeschool. I love to scrapbook and take pictures mainly of the kids. I have five dachshund that are as close to kids as they get.
