My Knight in Shining Armor
I wish I would have gotten a better picture of this. What you see at the bottom of the pitchfork is a huge snapping turtle. The turtle was in the middle of the road. My dear husband turned around the van and turned on the caution lights to keep other cars from hitting him and the turtle. Then he proceeded to "fight" the turtle out of the road. It was snapping at the end of the pitch fork. I have never seen a turtle that big and boy was he ferocious! He wasn't leaving that road without a fight! I love this about my husband! He saves those poor animals that someone else would have just ran over. We frequently stop for frogs in our driveway at night. Thanks honey for being my knight in shining armor.
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers
Live in a way that the preacher doesn't have to lie at your funeral.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor souls who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." --Theodore Roosevelt
Who am I? That is a difficult question to answer! I am a wife to a loving man! I am a Mom of 2 wonderful children of which I homeschool. I love to scrapbook and take pictures mainly of the kids. I have five dachshund that are as close to kids as they get.
